ส่วนประกอบ:
-โปรเจสติน เพียงอย่างเดียว (ไม่มีเอสโตรเจน)
วิธีใช้:
-ฉีดเข้ากล้ามเนื้อหรือใต้ผิวหนัง ทุก 12 สัปดาห์ (3 เดือน)
ข้อดี:
-สะดวก ไม่ต้องฉีดบ่อย
-ปลอดภัยในผู้ที่ห้ามใช้ฮอร์โมนเอสโตรเจน เช่น ให้นมบุตร
-ลดอาการปวดประจำเดือน และทำให้ประจำเดือนบางคนหยุดไปเลย
ข้อเสีย:
-รอบเดือนอาจมาไม่สม่ำเสมอ หรือขาดหายไป
-ใช้เวลานานกว่าระบบเจริญพันธุ์จะกลับมาปกติหลังหยุดฉีด (เฉลี่ย 6-12 เดือน)
-อาจมีผลต่อมวลกระดูกหากใช้ต่อเนื่องนาน ๆ

Components:
-Progestin-only (no estrogen)
How to Use:
-Administered via intramuscular or subcutaneous injection every 12 weeks (3 months)
Advantages:
-Convenient less frequent injections
-Safe for breastfeeding women and those who cannot take estrogen
-Can reduce menstrual pain and may lead to absent periods
Disadvantages:
-Irregular or missed periods are common
-Fertility may take longer to return after discontinuation (on average 612 months)
-Long-term use may reduce bone density
